The German government has launched a new program to support the purchase of electric and hybrid vehicles, aiming to promote clean mobility and reduce emissions. This initiative is considered one of the largest incentives for eco-friendly cars in Europe. <\/p>\n\n
According to the official announcement, the government has allocated a budget of \u20ac3 billion, which can support around 800,000 electric<\/a> and hybrid vehicles over the coming years. The subsidy per vehicle ranges between \u20ac1,500 and \u20ac6,000, depending on the vehicle type, household income, and family size. <\/p>\n\n The support will be applied retroactively from January 1, 2026, allowing buyers who have registered new electric vehicles or plug-in hybrid models to apply for the subsidy once the dedicated online portal opens, expected in May. <\/p>\n\n The package covers the purchase or lease of battery-electric vehicles or fuel cell vehicles, as well as selected hybrid models that meet electric emission standards and electric driving range requirements. <\/p>\n\n Germany\u2019s Environment Minister stated that the program provides a \u201cstrong boost\u201d for electric mobility and also aims to support the European automotive industry in facing global competition. <\/p>\n\n
