Turkey Opens Its Digital Archive Free for Everyone
The Directorate of Communications at the Turkish Presidency has announced the launch of its new digital archive website, aiming to strengthen public diplomacy and provide accurate and transparent access to official information.
Fahrettin Altun, head of the Directorate of Communications, emphasized that the new platform serves as “Turkey‘s institutional memory,” offering visitors from around the world free access to hundreds of books, magazines, and official reports issued by the Presidency.
The digital archive covers a wide range of sensitive topics, including the events of 1915, the Cyprus issue, counter-terrorism, and Turkish Century projects. It features a mobile-friendly design and a fast search engine, enabling users to find content within seconds.
The website serves as a key reference for researchers, students, and journalists, providing access to documents directly from official sources in multiple languages, free from media misinformation.
