German Embassy in Bahrain Announces Partial Reopening Starting March 8

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Kingdom of Bahrain has announced a partial resumption of its operations starting Sunday, March 8, following a period of closure related to security developments in the region.

In an official statement, the embassy explained that during the initial phase, appointments will be limited to urgent consular cases only, with visiting hours from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The embassy also confirmed that visa applications submitted through the VFS Visa Application Center will remain suspended for the time being until the situation stabilizes and services return to normal. Individuals with urgent circumstances have been advised to contact the embassy directly so their cases can be reviewed.

The German diplomatic mission also noted that it can be contacted in emergency situations outside official working hours through a dedicated emergency number, emphasizing that it will continue providing consular support to German citizens in Bahrain.

The decision to partially reopen comes as authorities continue monitoring the regional security situation, with the embassy gradually restoring its services while taking the necessary precautionary measures to ensure the safety of staff and visitors.
