Turkish Airlines announces the cancellation of a number of flights to the United States

Turkish Airlines (THY) has announced the cancellation of several international flights bound for the United States due to deteriorating weather conditions expected across large areas of North America, which have caused significant disruptions to air traffic.

Turkish Airlines stated in an official announcement that the cancellations affected flights scheduled for January 25 and 26, emphasizing that the decision is part of precautionary measures to ensure the safety of passengers and crew amid unfavorable weather conditions.

The statement noted that the affected flights include routes connecting Istanbul with several major U.S. cities such as New York, Boston, and Washington, with operating schedules adjusted in line with weather developments.

The company urged travelers to check the status of their flights via the official website or through customer service before heading to the airport, in order to avoid any confusion or unexpected changes.

Parts of North America are currently experiencing severe weather fluctuations, including snowstorms, strong winds, and heavy precipitation, prompting several global airlines to recently adjust their flight schedules in an effort to mitigate the impact of weather conditions on aviation safety.
