Conditions for Cancelling Residence in Turkey and the Applicable Procedures

Official sources explained that a residence permit may be cancelled either at the request of the resident themselves or by the Turkish authorities for specific reasons, including the expiration of the residence permit, submission of incorrect documents, or violation of residence conditions.

Officials also noted that a resident who cancels their residence permit will be required to update their official records and may need to leave Turkey or apply for another type of residence permit depending on their legal status.
