Spain Announces New Changes to Visa Application Procedures

The Consulate General of Spain has announced new changes to the procedures for submitting visa applications, as part of updates to the process of receiving files and organizing applications for those wishing to travel or reside in the country.

According to the Spanish Consulate, the changes include the method of booking appointments and submitting visa documents, as well as certain procedures related to residence and work visas, especially for professionals and self-employed individuals. Source

These changes aim to simplify administrative procedures, speed up application processing, and organize the reception of applicants within consulates, reducing congestion and improving the quality of services provided to visitors.

The consulate also advised those applying for a visa to carefully follow the new instructions and ensure all required documents are prepared before the submission date, to avoid any delays in processing applications.

This step is part of the Spanish authorities’ efforts to develop consular services and improve the visa processing system, particularly in response to the increasing demand for travel, work, and residence in Spain in recent years.
