A technical fault causes a power outage in northeastern Germany
Vast areas in the Lake District of northeastern Germany, along with some adjacent southeastern regions, experienced a power outage due to an emergency technical fault.
The electricity grid operator stated that emergency teams are working around the clock to repair the fault and restore power to homes as quickly as possible.
Local residents reported that dozens of homes lost electricity, while maintenance teams continue working across the affected areas in Germany.
The mayor of one affected city confirmed that the fault originated in the northern part of the city, noting that the outage affected wide areas including multiple towns and villages.
The electricity network managed by the company covers vast areas stretching from the northeastern coast to the inland regions, including several states and densely populated areas, making a rapid response a priority to maintain stable electricity for residents.
