Belgian Railways Launches a Faster Virtual Assistant in Four Languages

The National Railway Company of Belgium (SNCB) announced the launch of an upgraded version of its virtual assistant for travelers, now powered by AI technology, offering faster and more personalized support than ever before.

The new system, called Mobi 2.0, will be available 24/7 in four languages: French, Dutch, German, and English, helping travelers from diverse linguistic backgrounds access information quickly and easily.

The upgraded assistant now understands over 99% of inquiries, compared to about 65% in the previous version launched in 2020.

Improvements include handling spelling mistakes and complex queries, making interactions with users smoother and more efficient.

Mobi 2.0 is currently accessible via National Railway Company of Belgium (SNCB) website and through Messenger and WhatsApp apps, and it is expected to be integrated soon into the official SNCB mobile app for easier access from anywhere.

This initiative allows SNCB staff to focus on complex or sensitive requests, while the smart assistant handles routine inquiries such as Timetables, ticket prices, delays, and can escalate requests to a specialized employee when necessary.
